“I aint seen s**t!”

Hi Bingers!

Sorry that I’m posting this so late, but since it’s Fall Break, I’ve been spending time with my family.

This week I spent my Netflix time by finishing up Borgia and starting Luke Cage. So, to start this post, I want to update you guys on the Borgia. I finished the final season this week, and I have to say that it ended so brilliantly. I really did cry tears because it was so perfect. Also, Mark Ryder (plays Cesare) is my new man-crush Monday. It was definitely worth the 3 seasons.

So, besides that, I started Luke Cage. It’s based off of a Marvel comic book, and Luke Cage is basically crazy strong and bullet proof. I’m not sure if other things can hurt him, but since I’m only on episode 4, who knows what will happen.

What attracted me most to this show is the fact that it’s new and it’s based on the Marvel universe. Also, I must give credit to the astounding music. I’m not usually one to pay attention to the music in a tv show, but this show definitely has the music standing out.

It takes place in modern day Harlem during the “Harlem Renaissance” as they call it. It has the stereotypical big whig that runs the show, and his name is Cottonmouth. Luke Cage (I don’t currently know his back story) works at Cottonmouth’s club as a dish cleaner and as a helper at a local barber shop.

It really has a mobster feel to it, and don’t ask me why, but I’ve always had an interest in the Mob and Mafia. So that’s always fun

I’m sorry I don’t have much more to tell you, but that’s all I have for now. I’ll be able to tell you more by next week! So keep your eyes peeled!

Binge on!

XOXO Sarah Hocott

  1. I’ve had my eye on this show since Netflix started advertising it. I’m a pretty big Marvel fan, but their TV shows don’t seem to gain much of my interest. I only got to the beginning of season 3 for SHIELD, and now I’m bored with it. I hope Luke Cage is much more enjoyable.
